Jane Hansen HoytIn 1980 when I was asked to step in as the Interim President and CEO of Aglow, my knees literally shook. As I continued to walk hand in hand with the Lord for the past 45 years, I have found Him to be faithful as we faced times of great growth around the world.
I believe Aglow was birthed by the Spirit in 1967 and Holy Spirit continues to lead us today. I have always looked for Him in every circumstance and I continue to find the Lord to be faithful through times of plenty and in lean times. He has been our Keeper and always will be.
As I look back on the years of leading Aglow, I find myself smiling as I think of the many nations I had the honor of walking with new leaders as Aglow was birthed – 145 nations! There were 25 nations in 1980 when I started. There have been friendships formed that will never be lost. Memories remain of those who have gone on before us and now make up the great cloud of witnesses. I hold each one in my heart as both family and friend. I marvel at how faithful women and men of Aglow seem to share a flame in their core that drives them to press on and remain truly connected to this ministry.
Since the news of my replacement was announced, your words of love, encouragement and thanks have been overwhelming. We will always share the Kingdom legacy found in Aglow that is written in the books of eternity.
After consulting with the Board of Directors, at their direction, March 31, will be my last day with Aglow. As you know, Nancy McDaniel will step in to lead. I’m confident that you will be as kind and supportive of her as you always were with me.
I have full confidence that God will see Aglow through this time of transition and I look forward to hearing the news of Aglow being birthed in those remaining nations. After all, I promised Loren Cunningham that we would not forget them.
Always in my Heart - Linked for all eternity,
